Been heavy optimizing the new webring. Got a little feedback and updated the logo on it to be a bit less...problematic ๐. I promise, the logo was supposed to be a music note with a paint brush. Wasn't supposed to be something else. Hopefully the new logo translates a lot better for more people lol.
Still getting into it and haven't gotten too far just yet.
I've been liking a lot of Metroidvania's recently though and this seems right up my alley. I do hear that there are difficulty spikes later, so we'll see how well that goes. In any case, it's a beautiful looking game and reminds me constantly that 2D aint dead (and probably never will be thankfully), and that Indie is truly where the gaming industry is at!
I honestly cant believe how much of a sink this game has been.
I played it for a bit, switch to something else, then dropped back in, and now that has been all I've been playing as of late. And now with a new event just starting, the loop has got me again!
Damn it, I ALREADY SAID I don't plan on making this a forever game. STOP GIVING ME REASON TO PLAY YOU! lol
I still can't believe this game looks as amazing as it does, performs and sounds as amazing as it does, with a team not as large as the major AAA studios with triple the budget.
I'm constantly wowed by this game, and I'm still not done. I got caught up in new events for Arc Raiders, but I intend to finish this! Not only did this game actually get me into liking Turn Based RPG's again, it did it with flair!
I'm also likely going to pick up the OST later as well.
Either it was the game or me at the time, but I just found the game pretty boring. Admittedly, I didn't get past the few intro sections so I didn't let the game breathe or really get to its open sections, but I was overall feeling "meh" the first time I started the game.
If that was the initial feel of the game at it's start, probably best to play something else.
Still reading the manga, but I think I'm about to get caught up with the Anime soon surpassing my spot I've read of the manga. None the less, I've been singing the praises of this work for a while now. Glad other people are seeing that it's dope too :D
I'm Jamaal, but I also go by the name Key Jay. I'm sort of a hodgepodge of different things. My day job is in IT and I do a lot of tech stuff on the side, but I'm also a music composer, voice actor, gamer, and just an overall creative guy who likes building things.
I got interested in the IndieWeb after watching a few videos about it, and honestly, my growing disinterest in typical social platforms. Places like NeoCities feel more like the web I grew up with and joining seemed like it would be an interesting way to experience the REAL web again, so I said, hey why not!?
My main site lives at KeyJayOnline.com where the bulk of my portfolio and creative work is but think of this NeoCities page as a quieter outpost of sorts; A place that syndicates what I'm up to, but also gives me room to be a fan of things. Games, music, movies, whatever catches my attention. Who knows how this little corner will grow.
In any case; welcome, and thanks for stopping by this unique little journey.
This page is part of the IndieWeb, a growing community of people who believe the web should be a place for genuine self-expression, not just another feed algorithm. I joined because places like NeoCities remind me of the web I grew up with: personal, creative, and built by hand. No metrics, no monetization, just people sharing what they love on their own terms ^_^.
